导演和雨林原始人、印度修行者一起经历的过程挺好的，很有勇气，也很乐意自嘲。但是影片本身还是偏BBC风格，可能由于导演的BBC工作经历，剪辑上很明显是BBC的色彩，大量的迷幻音乐铺轨，使得记录本身显得悬浮，不接地气，那些人在雨林里的生活，只有画面，却没有声音。在我看来，影像的声音魅力没有体现出来。音乐铺轨显得懒惰和模式化。另外，雨林原始人在捕猎劳作生活，印度修行僧也在打坐念经，唯有导演在和白人交谈交谈，前两者的行为和白人滔滔不绝的语言论述形成对比，其实语言本身是不可靠的，它解释不了什么，现代文明的弊病也在于他们以为语言可以解释一切，从而忘记了身体力行。
